    Two…a jewelry box and a baptismal font (for my church)…I am working diligently on the font though.

    Are you starting your cut on the off end of the groove you’re trying to cut? Holding the fence too tight against the stock? You may be raising the blade by pushing the fence too much down and not enough laterally

    I’ve had yellow labs…great temperament for the shop, especially if raised in the shop as a pup…early efforts pay off big in the long run!

    In the middle of staining the deck…no furniture this weekend! Made this med cab last weekend out of “home grown” red oak.

    Agree wholeheartedly. I made the pictured table from hard maple harvested from trees I cut off my dad’s homesite. The top is walnut. Virtually, all useable wood was processed and I maintain a very nice supply of stock from that cutting over twenty years ago.

    I created appropriately spaced kerfs in “between the stud” racks.
