I have loved woodworking since I was 10 years old and my dad let me have 3 small logs and a pc of 1×4. I created a “totem pole” which I thought was awesome, but was ridiculous probably.  Then my dad made me my very own workbench, which I used for years until it wore out.  So many projects happened there, models, legos, painting ceramics, and my favorite, box car derby cars. The small ones you carve out of balsa wood. For me, that workbench was one of the best Christmas presents I ever got. Over the next 35 years, I’ve gotten slightly better at woodworking, but I am definitely no expert, I just love the craft.  For my real job, I’m a serious computer nerd…(seriously, my wife’s eyes glaze over the second I start talking about work)…it’s nice to go to the shop and do something totally unrelated to what I do for a living.  Probably why I don’t ever want a cnc machine in my shop… it would be to much like work lol.  I’ll just support another maker if I need to use one.  I love looking at other people’s projects and getting ideas and inspiration for my own.
